Samsung has been a part of the Windows Phone ecosystem ever since the platform first launched in 2010, steadily churning out handsets like the Focus, Focus Flash and ATIV S Neo. Some new evidence has been found that shows that the company's got another piece of Windows Phone hardware on the way, and if the leaks hold true, this could be one of Sammy's highest-end Windows Phones to date.
A user agent profile for a device with the model number SM-W750V has been discovered on Samsung's website, and while there's nothing in the page that explicitly mentions Windows Phone, references to "Windows Mobile Lab" and "Microsoft Internet Explorer" suggest that it will run Microsoft's mobile software. Other details listed in the UAProf include a mention that this is a "GSM/GPRS/3G Handset" and that it features a 1920x1080 display resolution.
In addition to this UAProf, the SM-W750V has its own entry on the Bluetooth Special Interest Group's website. The page is pretty sparse, but it does say that this mysterious device is a phone made by Samsung.
Even though there's not much known about this Samsung Windows Phone quite yet, it's still exciting to learn that such a device is on the way. That's the case not just because this is a new smartphone, but that it's potentially a new high-end Windows Phone coming from a non-Nokia manufacturer. There's certainly nothing wrong with the Lumia devices, but Nokia has been dominating the Windows Phone market lately, and so it'll be nice to have a fresh device that's a bit different than the existing Lumia hardware.
