Remember earlier this week when HTC revealed that the One X+ won't receive any OS updates beyond one that brings it to Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5? Yeah, that's kind of a bummer, but the good news about that update is that it's getting close. HTC executive Mohammed Versi took to Twitter tonight to announce that the AT&T One X+'s update to Android 4.2.2 and Sense 5 received technical acceptance from AT&T today and that the over the air rollout should begin later this week.
Obviously it's disappointing to know that this impending update will be the last major software upgrade that the AT&T One X+ receives, but the good news is that the final update is a biggie that ought to bring some significant improvements for anyone that's still rocking the One X+ as their daily driver. As usual, you can bet that I'll give you a shout once the update begins going out over the air. If you've got a One X+ and feel like passing the time by checking for the update manually, you can do so by heading into Settings > AT&T software update > Check for updates.
