Smartphones with physical QWERTY keyboards are becoming increasingly rare in the mobile world thanks to increases in screen sizes, more accurate touchscreens and other factors. We still see one of the communication-centric handsets pop up every now and then, though, and a new leak has shown that one of those endangered creatures will soon be making its way onto T-Mobile's shelves.
An image posted by @evleaks has revealed the LG Optimus F3Q, a landscape slider with a five-row physical keyboard. Details on the F3Q's specs are still light right now, but we can see in the leaked render that the QWERTY-clad handset features 4G LTE and NFC, a custom LG user interface and a set of four likely capacitive navigation buttons on its face.
The original Optimus F3 hit T-Mobile back in August as a fairly entry-level Android smartphone, and judging by the look of the Optimus F3Q and its relationship to the original F3, I won't be surprised if the F3Q turns out to be a lower-end device as well. Given the dearth of smartphones with hardware keyboards nowadays, though, consumers that can't kick their QWERTY habit will have to take what they can get if they insist on picking up a new device.
