Late November saw three different U.S. Moto X variants receive their Android 4.4 updates, and now it looks like another model may soon be sinking its teeth into KitKat. Sources speaking to Droid-Life claim that U.S. Cellular will begin sending out the Android 4.4 update to its Moto X starting tomorrow, Dec. 4. Internal documents shared by the site show that the update will be build number 13.11.3Q2.X-69-3-2 and that it will include updates to preloaded U.S. Cellular apps, a SIM PUK lock enhancement and improvements to the Moto X's imaging, Active Notifications, Touchless Control and the Motorola Assist app.

Neither Motorola nor U.S. Cellular have made any official announcements regarding the KitKat update for the USCC-flavored Moto X. Considering that we've already seen the AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon models updated, though, it makes sense that the U.S. Cellular Moto X's update would be along sometime in the near future. You can bet that I'll give you a shout once Motorola or U.S. Cellular confirms that the rollout is indeed underway, but if you need something to do in the mean time and want to be one of the first to receive the update, you can practice your update checking abilities by heading into Settings > About phone > Software updates.
