New 'Merlot Red,' 'Rose Gold Black' and 'Rose Gold White' Galaxy Note 3 models official

After peeking their heads out a bit early on Samsung Argentina's website last week, the latest batch of Galaxy Note 3 colors are now officially official. Samsung today announced "Merlot Red," "Rose Gold Black" and "Rose Gold White" as the three newest hues that the Note 3 will wear, joining the Blush Pink, Classic White and Jet Black models that launched earlier this year. Samsung says that the Rose Gold White model will hit China later in December and that other launches will occur "according to each market’s preference."

As its name suggests, the Merlot Red Note 3 sports a nice red paint job on its front and rear along with a silver outer edge. The Rose Gold Black and Rose Gold White Note 3 models look fairly similar to their Jet Black and Classic White counterparts, but the golden models step up the bling factor a bit by adding gold accents around the outer edge of the unit as well as on the rear Samsung logo, around the rear camera housing and on the earpiece. Additionally, the Rose Gold models feature an S Pen stylus with a golden touch.

There's nothing different about these three new Note 3 colors when it comes to their specs, meaning that buyers are getting the same 5.7-inch 1080p display, 13-megapixel camera and quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor that Samsung's been selling for months now. Still, it's always good to have more color options when shopping for a new device, and fans of the recent surge in golden smartphones are probably pretty pleased to see the Note 3 getting in on the blingification.
