This is actually the second Nexus-branded wireless charger that Google has sold through the Play Store. The first model went on sale back in February with a heftier $59.99 price tag and, while it could be used with non-Nexus devices, the fact that the hardware had to sit on the charger at an angle made that unit a bit more cumbersome to use with products that weren't the Nexus 4. The updated Nexus Wireless Charger is a flat square, meaning that it should work well with a wider range of hardware.
