Rejoice, owners of CDMA-flavored Samsung Galaxy S 4s! Just days after Verizon began rolling out an update with Android 4.3 and Galaxy Gear compatibility to its version of the Galaxy S 4, Samsung has announced a similar update for Sprint's version of the device. A Samsung support page is now live for the Sprint Galaxy S 4's update, which will bring the device up to software version L720VPUAMJA. The update includes a bump up to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, support for the Galaxy Gear and compatibility with Samsung's Knox security software.
Sprint hasn't made any announcements regarding the L720VPUAMJA update, but some owners appear to have already snagged the 537.7MB bundle of software by clearing the Google Services Framework on their device. Alternatively, you Sprint Galaxy S 4 owners can head on in to Settings > More > System Update > Update Samsung Software. These things typically go out in waves, so don't fret if you check for update and there's nothing there. Just stick to Wi-Fi and keep an eye on that notification bar.
