T-Mobile today took the wraps off of a pair of Samsung devices that will be joining its 4G LTE lineup. First up is the Samsung Galaxy Light, an Android 4.2.2 smartphone that packs a 4-inch 800x480 display, 1.4GHz quad-core Samsung processor and 8GB of built-in storage that can be supplemented with a microSD card. There's a 5-megapixel camera on the Galaxy Light's backside and a VGA shooter around front, and sandwiched in between those cameras is 1GB RAM, NFC, HD Voice support and an 1800mAh battery. Expect to see the Galaxy Light on T-Mobile's magenta shelves sometime "in the coming weeks."
The second Samsung-made addition to T-Mobile's roster is a 4G LTE mobile hotspot known as the Samsung LTE Mobile HotSpot Pro. This little black square can support up to 10 simultaneous Wi-Fi device connections and sports and 2.2-inch 320x240 color screen that can display information related to signal strength, the number of devices connected, unread text messages and battery level. The device also features a 4GB of built in storage, a microSD card slot and a microUSB port that can charge devices. The Samsung LTE Mobile HotSpot Pro is available starting today with a down payment of $49.99 and 24 monthly installments of $5 each.
In addition to introducing us to this new Samsung hardware, T-Mobile today reiterated the availability details for the Alcatel One Touch Evolve and One Touch Fierce. Originally announced at the tail-end of September, the One Touch Evolve is launching today for a down payment of $27.99 plus 24 monthly payments of $3. The One Touch Fierce will hit store shelves on Oct. 23 for $19.99 down and 24 payments of $6. You can find out more about both of these new Alcatel offerings right here.
This latest round of fresh Android smartphones may be mostly entry-level to mid-range stuff, but not everyone needs the most cutting edge hardware available in a handset, and so it's good to see T-Mobile beefing up its lower-end lineup a bit.
