Leaks related to Android 4.4 KitKat or new Nexus hardware seem to be trickling out at a pretty steady rate lately, and it looks like that's a trend that's going to continue today. A screenshot has been spotted on the Play Store page for Google's official Korean IME keyboard that includes a status bar with gray icons rather than the light blue ones found in Android 4.0 through 4.3.
The image also features a new debug icon on the left side of the status bar that depicts a slice of pie with a pair of antennae, which differs from the Jelly Bean debug icon found in Android 4.3. A close-up shot of the new icons can be found below, courtesy of Android Police.
When Google first introduced us to Android 4.4 KitKat earlier this month, the company revealed that the update had actually been referred to as "Key Lime Pie" internally. Taking that into consideration along with the aforementioned gray icons, it certainly seems possible that this screenshot came from a device that was running a build of Android 4.4.
A new debug icon and gray status bar icons may not be the most exciting OS changes that we've ever seen, but they do give us a taste of what Google may have in store for Android 4.4 while we wait for the official debut of KitKat, which could happen sometime next month. Do you like these new gray status bar icons or do you prefer the current blue ones?
