Sprint 4G LTE service now available in 34 new markets

Hey Sprint customers, how would you like some piping hot 4G LTE coverage to start your week off right? That's precisely what you're getting today, as Sprint has revealed that its LTE network is now live in 34 additional markets. Here's the list of newly-lit locales:

  • Anniston/Oxford, Ala.
  • Bay City, Mich.
  • Beaumont/Port Arthur, Texas
  • Bedford, Pa.
  • Corpus Christi, Texas
  • Del Rio, Texas
  • Enid, Okla.
  • Fort Atkinson, Wis.
  • Greenville, Miss.
  • Houma/Bayou Cane/Thibodaux, La.
  • Juniata and Mifflin counties, Pa.
  • Kinston, N.C.
  • Lake Charles, La.
  • Lawton, Okla.
  • Longview, Texas
  • Lufkin, Texas
  • Lumberton, N.C.
  • Macon, Ga.
  • Marshfield/Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.
  • Midland, Texas
  • Monroe, Mich.
  • Montgomery, Ala.

This latest expansion brings Sprint up to a total of 185 LTE markets. Sprint says that it's not done growing its LTE footprint in 2013, though, with plans to expand the reach of its LTE network to 200 million people before the end of the year. There's no word yet on which markets are next on Sprint's LTE list, but stay tuned and I'll be sure to update you with more information as it's available.
