A few months have passed since T-Mobile last provided us with an update on its 4G LTE network buildout, but the Magenta recently broke its silence to reveal that its LTE footprint has grown quite a bit since July. T-Mobile has announced that its LTE service now covers 180 million people in 154 markets, up from the 157 million people and 116 metropolitan areas that it expanded to during the summer. A full list of current T-Mobile LTE locales can be found right here (PDF link).
Because T-Mobile doesn't issue an announcement every time that it flips its LTE switch in a new town, it can be hard to keep up with the progress of its rollout. It seems that ol' Magenta has been keeping itself busy over the past few months, though, spreading LTE goodness to cities across the country.
T-Mo says that it plans to cover 200 million people with its LTE airwaves by the time that 2013 wraps up, and considering that it's currently sitting at 180 million people in mid-September, that goal certainly seems doable. Now we just have to wait and see which markets will get covered by T-Mobile's LTE blanket next.
