Apple today put an end to nearly a year of rumors and speculation, officially introducing us to its new iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c. As is typically the case with new Apple hardware, it won't be long before us regular folk are actually able to buy the new handsets, with both models slated to go on sale on Sept. 20. However, one thing that appears to have changed this year is Apple's pre-order plans. The company has said that the iPhone 5c will be available for pre-order on Sept. 13, but it's made no mention of an iPhone 5s pre-sale. That's where other retailers come in.
Negri Electronics announced today that it is now accepting pre-orders for the unlocked versions of both the iPhone 5s and the iPhone 5c. All of the various colors and variants are available for purchase, with the 16GB iPhone 5s coming in at $949.50, the 32GB model priced at $1039.50 and the capacious 64GB variant carrying a $1,129.50 price tag. Meanwhile, the 16GB iPhone 5C is $739.50 and the 32GB 5c is available for $819.50.
Interested customers should note that Negri's pricing isn't yet set in stone, but rather based on factors like the supply and demand of last year's models and analysis. As a result, pricing is subject to change before units ship. The good news is that customers won't be charged until their devices actually leave the warehouse, which is currently expected to happen by Sept. 23.
Considering that Apple has offered pre-orders for several of its major iOS releases in the past and will do so with the iPhone 5c this year, it's kind of strange that the Cupertino firm won't be accepting pre-orders of its new flagship iPhone 5s. That could make it difficult for some consumers to get a unit at launch, as not everyone will be able to visit a nearby Apple Store or carrier shop to pick up a 5s in person. If that sounds like the predicament that you're currently in, you can hit up the Negri Electronics online store using the links below and pre-order a unit to call your own.
