We're pretty well-acquainted with the blue HTC One at this point, having seen the unannounced smartphone in several different render and photo leaks. One thing that's still a mystery about the azure handset, though, is exactly where interested consumers will be able to buy the thing. We may be able to add one destination to the list today, as a leaked document claims to show that at least one U.S. carrier will stock the blue One.
An Aug. 28 internal Sprint handset update shared by
PhoneArena shows that the Now Network may be planning to add the blue HTC One to its shelves on Sept. 10. There's no mention of pricing on the document, but it seems likely that the blue One would be priced similarly to its silver, black and red compatriots on Sprint, all of which currently carry a price tag of $199.99 on contract.
This leaked document obviously isn't quite the same as an official announcement from Sprint, but the launch dates listed for devices like the
Kona,
Q10 and
X131e line up with previous announcements. If this leak holds true, that would mean that Hesse and Co. have all four colors of HTC's flagship on their shelves, something that I'm sure Sprint customers don't mind but may be a little frustrating to those not on the big yellow carrier. We'll have to wait for an announcement from Sprint before we know if it's locked up an exclusive on the blue One
like it did the red model or if the device is free to roam onto other carriers.
