Verizon LG G2 sign-up page now online, touts exclusive wireless charging capability

After confirming its intent to offer the LG G2, Verizon today posted a sign-up page for interested consumers to learn more about the heavily-branded device. Included on the page is an image of Verizon's G2 variant, which looks mostly the same as the international version save for a a couple of slight alterations to the phone's camera housing and rear button set. The page also touts the fact that the Verizon G2 will sport an exclusive wireless charging capability.

Overall it looks like Verizon customers will be getting a version of the G2 that's pretty close to the global variant, which is always good to see. We already knew that LG would be creating custom G2 variants for the U.S. carriers, but the good news is that so far it appears as though it was able to stick close to the international version like it had hoped to, which should help the company to offer speedier software updates and more effectively build its brand.

Getting back to Verizon's flavor of the G2, there's no word yet on when exactly the device might launch or how much it'll cost once it does. LG said at its G2 event that the phone will roll out to 130 carriers in the next 8 weeks, starting in South Korea and then expanding to North America, Europe and other markets. Verizon has only offer the vague "coming soon" timeframe when talking about its G2 launch plans, but with LG's aggressive rollout, it's possible that "soon" could actually mean soon.
