Two weeks after introducing iOS 7 at WWDC and rolling out the first beta to developers, Apple has begun pushing out the second beta version of its upcoming iOS refresh. The company today began pushing iOS 7 beta 2 to users that are registered with Apple's iOS developer program. The update is currently available as an over the air download, which can be accessed by going into Settings > General > Software Update.
iOS 7 brings with it the platform's biggest visual refresh to date, including new looks for Apple's built-in apps and their icons, as well as Control Center, notification sync, new Siri functionality and several other tweaks. Apple is currently offering a beta version of iOS 7 to users that registered with its iOS developer program, which costs $99 per year. The company has said that it plans to roll iOS 7 out to the public this fall. When it does, the new software will be made available to the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad 4, iPad mini and fifth-generation iPod touch.
UPDATE: iOS 7 beta 2 is now available in the official iOS Dev Center, and along with the iPhone downloads, Apple has also included versions of the iOS 7 beta for the iPad and iPad mini. Those devices were excluded from the first iOS 7 beta rollout.
UPDATE 2: According to a report from MacRumors, the new iOS 7 beta 2 packs in Apple's Voice Memos app that was missing from iOS 7 beta 1. Other changes in iOS 7 beta 2 are said to include both male and female Siri voices and speed improvements for Siri.
