This is a big day for the Sprint-flavored HTC One, because Sprint announced this morning that its version of HTC's new flagship phone is receiving its first software update. These phones grow up so fast, don't they? According to Sprint, the update bumps the One up to software version 1.29.651.10 and brings with it improvements to BlinkFeed, a new Sprint Zone client and better Back and Home capacitive key sensitivity.
The Sprint One's first update may not be a huge one, but it's got some pretty big improvements packed inside of it. After all, how many times a day do you One owners tap on those Back and Home keys on the phone's face? The inclusion of a better BlinkFeed is also a welcome sight, because even though not everyone is a fan of it, BlinkFeed is still a major part of Sense 5.
Sprint says that this HTC One update will begin rolling out today, May 16. The update may be rolling out in stages, though, so don't get too frustrated if you've got a One on Sprint that's still update-less at the end of the day. Those that don't feel like waiting for the update to come to them can perform a manual check by going into Settings > System updates > HTC software update > Check now.
