Been hoping that that ruggedized Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active will be making the perilous journey onto U.S. soil? If so, you may be in luck. Frequent leaker @evleaks just tweeted out a message that says that AT&T plans to launch a version of the Galaxy S 4 Active with the model number SGH-I537. Searching for that model number yielded a User Agent Profile for the "SGH-I537" that lists the device as having a screen resolution of 1920x1080, the same as the plain ol' Galaxy S 4.
According to a recent rumor, the Samsung Galaxy S 4 Active will be similar in specs and design to the regular Galaxy S 4, but will be toughened up a bit to resist both water and dust. While there's no concrete evidence to show that the SGH-I537 is indeed an AT&T-flavored Galaxy S 4 Active, the fact that the two devices both have 1080p displays and also have similar model numbers (SGH-I537 v.s. SGH-I337) helps to make the rumor of an AT&T Galaxy S 4 Active more believable.
In addition to the Galaxy S 4 Active, @evleaks claims that AT&T will soon launch another Samsung device referred to both as the "Zest" and the "SGH-I217." This handset is said to be an "entry-level" device, and with a screen resolution of 800x480 (revealed by another UAProf), such a descriptor may not be far off.
There's no mention in today's rumors about when the Zest or Galaxy S 4 Active might launch on AT&T. However, a previous rumor claimed that Samsung could be planning to introduce the Galaxy S 4 Active in July, meaning that AT&T customers may still have a couple of months to dream up ways to put the ruggedness of the GS4A to the test.
