Less than a week after the black HTC One first showed its face on Sprint's web store, the device is now officially available for purchase. Sprint announced this morning that it's now selling the 32GB black HTC One on its website for $199.99 with a two-year commitment. The silver version of the HTC One is available for the same price. Sprint is also still offering a "Bring Your Number" credit, which knocks $100 off of the price of a new smartphone when a customer ports his or her number to Sprint on a new line of service.
The black HTC One features a spec list that's similar to the silver model that launched at Sprint earlier this month. That means buyers will be getting a handset with a 4.7-inch 1080p display, 1.7GHz quad-core processor, 4-UltraPixel rear and 2.1-megapixel front cameras, 32GB storage, Sprint 4G LTE connectivity and Android 4.1 beneath HTC's Sense 5 overlay.
HTC revealed that the One would be offered in both black and silver way back in February, but before today, we hadn't heard much about when the black One would actually be available for purchase. Now it looks like Sprint folk will have a color decision to make before clicking the "Add to cart" button on the One's product page. The black HTC One also recently showed up on AT&T's website, but we still haven't heard any information from Big Blue regarding its release plans for the device. So now that the black HTC One is officially available from at least one U.S. carrier, we have to ask: do you prefer the black version or the silver one?
