Rumors of a possible AT&T-branded version of LG's Optimus G Pro have been swirling in recent weeks, but today those claims got quite a bit of support thrown behind them thanks to the emergence of the image you see above. That's a black Optimus G Pro, complete with AT&T's globe logo on its backside and AT&T branding in its status bar. The image was just posted to Twitter by @evleaks.
Neither LG nor AT&T have said anything official about a U.S. Optimus G Pro launch, but LG did recently reveal that it'll be holding a May 1 event in New York that will focus on its new phone/tablet hybrid device. The good news is that previous rumors have suggested that AT&T could launch its flavor of the 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro in mid-May, so it may not be long before we see that device up there on AT&T's shelves. To help pass the time until we hear more, you can check out Aaron's hands-on video with the international Optimus G Pro, which is conveniently embedded below.
UPDATE: Hot on the heels of the appearance of these leaked images, Engadget claims to have gotten a peek at the official spec sheet for AT&T's Optimus G Pro. Here's what we're told to expect from the upcoming device:
Overall it sounds like the AT&T Optimus G Pro will be fairly similar to the international model, though it looks like LG has swapped out the True HD IPS+ display found on the global version for a regular Full HD IPS panel on AT&T's variant. So, what do you AT&T folk think? Anyone considering picking an Optimus G Pro up once it finally arrives on Big Blue's shelves?
