The HTC One (global) is #1 again

In week 56 of PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™, Samsung’s Galaxy Note II was pushed from its first place spot on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts by the new HTC One (global).  Despite manufacturing delays, the HTC One continues to see significant buzz prior to its launch in the United States.  With the Samsung Galaxy S 4 on the way, can HTC steal the spotlight with their newest superphone?

MT PLEASANT, SC – For 56 weeks and counting, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has become the gold standard for ranking the market's greatest smartphones by placing votes from readers and experts alike in respective charts each week. For a second week in a row, the Samsung Galaxy Note II was bumped out of the top spot on both the People’s Choice and Expert’s Choice charts by the HTC One (global), with 584 votes and 40 points.  Featuring a metal and glass exterior, the HTC One’s combination of premium materials and high-end specifications are attracting smartphone enthusiasts of all types.

The people ranked the Samsung Galaxy Note II in second place with 246 votes, while the BlackBerry Z10 remained in third place with 177 votes.  The Google Nexus 4 secured the fourth place spot with 89 votes, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S III with 56 votes. On the Expert’s Choice Chart, the Apple iPhone 5 stole the second place spotlight from the Samsung Galaxy Note II with 25 points, while the popular tabletphone moved into third place with 23 points.  In fourth place, the Samsung Galaxy S III with 18 points, while the fifth place award went to the Google Nexus 4 with 15 points.
