Google I/O 2013 registration now open [UPDATED]

As promised, Google just officially opened up registration for I/O 2013. Tickets for the event will cost $900 each, though Google does say that it has a "limited number" of Academic tickets available for $300 each. The Academic tickets are open to both students and faculty members and require proof of enrollment or employment at an academic institution. Interested customers will also need Google+ and Google Wallet accounts to get an I/O ticket, with the former necessary for registration and the latter needed for payment. Google I/O 2013 will be taking place May 15-17 at the Moscone Center West in San Francisco

Google I/O is typically a pretty big show for the search company. Recent shows have brought the introduction of new versions of Android as well as new hardware, and attendees typically get some free devices to take home. As a result, tickets for Google I/O have been selling out out faster and faster each year, so anyone interested in heading to I/O 2013 should probably be buying tickets right about now. You can grab your own using the link below.

UPDATE: The registration page now says that Google I/O 2013 is sold out, meaning that this year's batch of tickets lasted less than an hour. How many of you were able to snag one?
