Alleged Samsung Galaxy S IV leaks out again, this time on video

We've said several times before that when it comes to leaks of unannounced smartphones, video is always better than still images, and apparently the owner of that alleged Samsung Galaxy S IV from yesterday morning agrees. The same Galaxy S IV unit that was previously shown off in a set of images is now back, starring in a video that lasts over three minutes and shows off both the hardware and software of the device (and has an Apple promo running in the background). Once again, the hardware is Galaxy S III/Galaxy Note II-like with its rounded corners and physical home key, and we can see that there's also a silver ring around the edge and a center-mounted rear camera.

On the software side of things, we're shown a Samsung boot animation that includes a China Unicom "WO" logo, which lines up with the previous leak that claimed that this particular version of the Galaxy S IV is a dual-SIM model intended for that operator. The user interface shown in the clip is definitely reminiscent of Samsung's TouchWiz UI. The user in the clip then gives us a look at several different parts of the phone's software, including the Camera, Phone and About Phone apps. In the About screen, we're shown once again that this phone identifies itself as the GT-I9502 running Android 4.2.1.

While the device shown in this video looks to be the same as the one we saw yesterday, there's no telling whether or not this is what the Galaxy S IV will look like until Samsung officially takes the wraps off of its new flagship smartphone. However, it's definitely possible that Samsung could choose a design for the Galaxy S IV that's similar to the Galaxy S III. As I noted previously, Samsung is proud of the work that went into creating the look and feel of the Galaxy S III, going so far as to create a five-minute video that details the device's design. The company may not want to scrap that look after one generation, so it could opt to take the design, add a couple of tweaks and then introduce it as the Galaxy S IV. Samsung will be officially announcing the Galaxy S IV on Thursday, March 14. Until then, you can find the leaked video allegedly showing the device below.
