MetroPCS: Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update now rolling out

Looks like it's time for another Samsung Galaxy S III Jelly Bean update. MetroPCS recently announced that the Jelly Bean update for its version of the Samsung Galaxy S III is now rolling out. Metro says that the 400MB update began rolling out last Friday, and all users are expected to receive it by early this week. Galaxy S III owners can check for the update by heading into Settings > About Device > Software Update.

We've already seen Samsung's Galaxy S III get updated to Jelly Bean on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular and Verizon, and it's good to see another carrier getting added to that list. Users that've already installed the update say that it brought them up to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, which is quite an upgrade from the software that the S III was running before, which is Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich. After installation, Galaxy S III owners can expect to find goodies like Google Now, Project Butter and actionable notifications, making this an upgrade that's definitely worth grabbing as soon as possible. How many of you are currently rockin' Jelly Bean on your Samsung Galaxy S III?
