LG has already officially unveiled a handful of new smartphones ahead of the start of Mobile World Congress next week, including the Optimus L Series II trio and the 5.5-inch Optimus G Pro. Now two more of LG's upcoming handsets may have been outed, though this time the reveal is slightly less than official. The @evleaks Twitter account today posted an image showing what it claims to be the LG Optimus F7 (left) and LG Optimus F5 (right). Both phones are white and have similar logo and sensor placements on their faces, but the two units have slightly different styles. While the F7 features a physical home key, the F5 features a trio of capacitive navigation keys as well as a chrome ring around its face that isn't present on the F7.
Not much is known about the Optimus F7 and Optimus F5 beyond what we can gleam from these images. Their names do appear to indicate that they're part of a new Optimus F Series of smartphones from LG, though, a notion that's seemingly backed up by a new MWC teaser from LG. The clip tells viewers that they can "Tag" (possibly NFC-related) what they want, and then it shows four images with the words "The StyLe," "The Freedom," "The View" and "The Greatness" attached. That suggests that the company's got L Series, F Series, V Series and G Series units lined up for MWC. We've already seen the L and G devices unveiled, and the devices that've been leaked this morning could be part of the F Series of phones. The "View" line may be a tease for a new Optimus Vu device.
Mobile World Congress 2013 is set to kick off on Feb. 25 and run through Feb. 28, and while LG has announced several new phones in the past week or so, it appears that the company may still have a few more models up its sleeve. Of course, whether or not it can wait until Barcelona to actually announce them is still up in the air. Stay tuned.
