Looks like tomorrow just got a bit busier. In addition to the HTC event that's going down in Tuesday morning, Canonical has placed a teaser on the Ubuntu home page that reads "Tick, tock, tablet time!" and has a countdown that'll end at 10 a.m. tomorrow morning. There's also some rounded shapes going around the outside of the timer that produces a look similar to the Welcome screen of Ubuntu for phones.
While the statement on the Ubuntu front page indicates that Canonical's got something tablet-related up its sleeve, there's still a bit of mystery surrounding this tease. A tablet-friendly version of Ubuntu seems like a good possibility, especially as slates like the iPad/iPad mini, Nexus 7/Nexus 10 and Samsung's Galaxy line continue to grow in popularity. The good news is that with less than 24 hours left in Canonical's countdown, we don't have long to wait before the company opens up a bit more on exactly what "tablet time" entails.
