After giving a sneak peek of its new Platinum range of Android slates back at CES 2013, Archos today made the tablet trio officially official. As we noted during CES, the Platinum range consists of tablets with higher-end specs, like quad-core processors and high-resolution displays. Today Archos gave us the full rundown on its Platinum series, and the company also revealed a third 11.6-inch model that wasn't shown at CES. The spec lists for each Platinum tablet are as follows:
As far as availability goes, Archos says that the 80 Platinum and 97 Platinum will be available in February for $199 and $299, respectively. The larger, 116 Platinum will take a little longer to hit shelves, as its expected to launch in April with a price tag of $349. While that 11.6-inch model might be a tad big for some, we don't often see tablets with screens larger than 10 inches in size, so it's good to see Archos bringing another big slate to market. What's your ideal tablet size? Is it a traditional 7 or 10 incher or do you prefer a larger device?
