Looks like we've got a bit of bad Windows Phone app-related news to counteract that recent Microsoft job listing that teased the company's plans at a unified app development platform. As noted by Engadget and WPCentral, several Windows Phone users are reporting this morning that when they attempt to download an app from the Windows Phone Store, they're greeted with a 805a0193 error code rather than a piping hot app. There's no word on exactly what this error code means, and so far Microsoft has yet to comment on the matter.
This issue appears to be affecting users around the globe, with Windows Phoners in places like the U.S., France and South Africa all reporting that they're unable to download apps. Some report that the issue has resolved itself already or that toggling Wi-Fi on and off fixed the problem, but there are others that are still running into the 805a0193 error.
