There hasn't been a ton of news on the Motorola X-Phone ever since rumors about the device's existence first popped up in late December 2012, but today a new Motorola job listing may have confirmed that such a product is on the way. The job listing was first discovered on LinkedIn this morning, and ask you can see in the screenshot above, Motorola is seeking a Senior Director of Product Management for something called the "X-Phone." The LinkedIn job listing has since been yanked, but a similar post can be found in Moto's own jobs database, though that one is missing any reference to the X-Phone.
Unfortunately for anyone interested in learning more about the X-Phone and what makes it tick, these job listings don't provide any insight into exactly what the mysterious product is. The listing simply says that Motorola is seeking a person to do things like lead teams on product organization and mobile initiatives, manage customization requirements related to carrier-specific devices and create schedules for new products as well as the maintenance releases for current products.
While nothing has been confirmed about this X-Phone quite yet, that hasn't stopped the rumor mill from speculating about it. The original report on the X-Phone claimed that Google and Motorola were teaming up to create the device and that one of the focuses of the project is to include "top-notch features for the phone's camera and photo software." The claim that Google and Motorola are working together on the mystery product has been enough to get plenty of Android fans excited about the X-Phone, though, as many folks have been hoping that Google and Motorola would collaborate on device ever since Google acquired Moto last year. How many of you are looking forward to this X-Phone product?
