Apple makes 128GB fourth-generation iPad official, release set for Feb. 5

That didn't take long. Just days after rumors of a possible 128GB fourth-generation iPad with Retina display began circulating, Apple today made the new device officially official. Launching on Feb. 5, the 128GB fourth-gen iPad will be available in both black and white as well as Wi-Fi-only and Wi-Fi + Cellular flavors. Customers interested in the Wi-Fi-only model can expect to pony up $799 once Feb. 5 rolls around, while the Wi-Fi + Cellular model will set buyers back a cool $929.

In the past, the most storage that an iPad could be purchased with was 64GB, so this new 128GB model is quite a step up in that regard. All of that extra space certainly doesn't come cheap, but for anyone that likes to load up their iPad with Retina-quality apps and high-resolution photos and video, buying a 128GB iPad and not having to worry about deleting content to make room for more stuff could be worth the price of admission. What do you all think of this newest iPad model? Would you be interested in a tablet with 128GB of built-instorage?
