How does wrapping up your week with another peek at BlackBerry 10 sound? That's precisely what the folks at Austrian site Telekom Presse have given us, as the site has posted a lengthy video showing several different aspects of BlackBerry 10 running on a full-touch Z10. A large chunk of the clip (which is in German) is dedicated to demoing the OS's voice control capabilities, which is used to compose and send a text message, make a phone call and open the Music app. A previous leak showed that the app can also do things like compose a BBM message and search the Internet.
Also included in this video is a look at the software keyboard in BlackBerry 10, which includes predictive text that allows users to swipe words up into their message. The keyboard can also utilize three different languages simultaneously. The clip goes on to demo several other aspects of RIM's new OS, such as the basic swipe gestures, the Maps app, the browser, the preinstalled Facebook and Twitter apps and the BlackBerry World app storefront.
While we've already gotten early looks at several aspects of BlackBerry 10 (and the Z10, and the X10), this new video gives us a good preview of the new OS in action and helps to whet our appetites for what RIM will show off at its launch event on Jan. 30. While it's not clear precisely when the first BlackBerry 10 devices will actually begin hitting the market, all four major U.S. carriers have committed to supporting BB10, so customers on all of those operators will get their shot at RIM's new hotness at some point. With just 12 days to go before the big shindig, how many of you are getting excited about BlackBerry 10?
