Good news for anyone that just can't wait until CES next week to see more of the Sony Xperia Z, as a purported press image of the device has made its way online this evening. Posted by @evleaks on Unwired View, the shot shows a Sony-branded handset with a skinned version of Android, complete with a new set of on-screen navigation keys. We can also see some buttons protruding out of the right side of the handset.
If previous leaks of the Xperia Z are accurate, the phone formerly known as Yuga will be one of several upcoming smartphones with a 5-inch 1080p display. It's also rumored to include a quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, all of which are features that we'd expect from a high-end Android handset heading into 2013.
One thing that the rumor mill hasn't divulged quite yet is when or if we'll see the Xperia Z or some variant of it hit the U.S. Considering that Sony has launched past flagship handsets on AT&T, though, it wouldn't be a surprise to see this new model make its way to the big blue operator at some point in the future. Has the Xperia Z managed to pique your interest? Or has another device captured your attention?
