Interested in learning what Sony's got up its sleeve for 2013? You don't have to wait for the calendar to flip over to the new year to do so, as Russian site Mobile-review has posted a fairly extensive hands-on preview with a Sony flagship device referred to as the Yuga C6603. According to the report, this thing's got a 5-inch 1920x1080, matching the size and resolution of HTC's high-end DROID DNA. Under the hood, we're told to expect a quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 2GB RAM, microSD slot, micro-HDMI, micro-USB, NFC and 4G LTE support. There's also a 12-megapixel camera on the Yuga's backside.

The Yuga that went under the microscope for this preview was running Android 4.1.2, complete with a set of on-screen navigation keys and a Sony-made custom overlay. Overall it looks like this still-unannounced device hits all of the checkboxes that a flagship Android smartphone needs to, and so it'll be interesting to see how the device actually feels in person, and how it can perform against competitors like the Galaxy Note II and DROID DNA. It's estimated that the Yuga could launch sometime in late February or early March of next year, but there are a handful of photos and benchmarks available at Mobile-review to keep you busy until then.
