Breaking into the top 5 for the first time, the HTC DROID DNA is our Friday featured user review. In picking the first review to feature we came across one by PhoneDog fan Trevor Diedrich that highlights many of the devices great features and also describes his personal feelings about the DNA. Enjoy.
"Great Phone. Better than expected." By TREVOR_DIEDRICH on November 28, 2012
One word. Screen. As expected the big seller for this device is the screen. The pixel packed screen blows my mind and makes everything seem so clear.
The reception has been good but drops off in densely walled rooms.
When deciding to buy this phone my main concern was battery life. Being a college student i constantly use my phone to check emails, text my friends, and stay up to date on many social networking sights. With the occasional youtube video and music streaming the battery holds up very well. I started at 100% this morning (7:45) and have been using my phone very heavily for a typical day and I'm still left with 41% at 9:45.
Design of the phone makes it fit nicely in the hand and make it seem thinner than it actually is. The micro usb cover is really annoying when you need quick access to the charger but hopefully the addition of a wireless charging pad will fix that.
Coming from an iPhone, the app market has been a bit of a downfall for me. I still find myself trying to find iTunes on my phone when i want to look up a song but that all takes getting used to.
A main reason why I chose the Droid DNA over another phone is that I wanted change. After many years of iOS, things were becoming stale and andriod gave me the option to more freely customize the way my phone works. If you like amazing screen quality and top of the line specs that the droid DNA has to offer then it's a great choice for a smartphone.
