Today was already a pretty good day for BlackBerry fans after RIM announced that the BlackBerry 10 SDK is now gold, but it looks like this fine Tuesday just got even better. A new report from Tinhte.vn has leaked out a cornucopia of high-quality photos showing the BlackBerry 10 L-Series smartphone lounging around in the wild. The face of the device looks fairly similar to previous leaks, complete with an earpiece, front-facing camera and BlackBerry logo, while the phone's textured rear features another logo and camera. Buried underneath that cover is a microSD slot, NFC chip and a home for an 1,800mAh battery.
Moving to the sides of the L-Series, the shots show a micro-USB and micro-HDMI ports on one side and a volume rocker with a third button in its middle on the other. The top of the still-unannounced handset features a 3.5mm headphone jack and power/lock key.
While this latest batch of leaked photos don't reveal anything of surprise, they do give us our best look at RIM's first BlackBerry 10 device yet, and they also serve as a tasty morsel to help BlackBerry fanatics survive until RIM's BlackBerry 10 launch event on January 30. We'll have to reserve final judgment on the L-Series until we can give both it and a final version of BlackBerry 10 a go for ourselves, but these photos show a handset with a clean design that I'm betting many BlackBerry fans feel will be worth the wait. Another shot of the L-Series is available below, and several more can be found over at Tinhte.vn.
