After the Nexus 4 quickly sold out the first day that it was available earlier this month, Google recently gave Android fans another shot at buying the newest in the line of Nexus smartphones. After being available for purchase for around five days, though, the 8GB flavor of the Nexus 4 is once again listed as being sold out on the Google Play Store. The 16GB Nexus 4 is still ready to be added to virtual carts, so would-be Nexus buyers aren't totally out of luck, but that model is currently listed as shipping in six to seven weeks.
The Nexus 4 hasn't exactly had the smoothest sales history so far, as the original stock sold out fast and then some buyers were told that their unit was on backorder. When the Nexus 4 was made available again this week, the Play Store then had some issues keeping up with all of the interested customers trying to place an order. Many customers that bought a Nexus 4 earlier this month have been receiving their units, though, including those of us here at PhoneDog.
Anyone that bought a device this week will likely have a bit of a wait to endure before getting their order, especially since the 8GB model was listed as shipping out in four to five weeks right when it went up for sale, but I'm sure that many folks are just happy that they were able to successfully place an order. How many of you either already have a Nexus 4 or are waiting for one to be shipped to you?
