It looks like Samsung Focus 2 owners are getting a nice mid-week surprise, as the AT&T smartphone is finally getting updated to Windows Phone 7.5 Tango. As noted by WPCentral, the Focus 2's update brings it up to software version 7.10.8773.98 and firmware version 2103.12.10.1. Users will need to plug their Focus 2 into their computer to actually install the update. The Tango update includes the ability to attach multiple photos to a MMS, enables contact exporting to a SIM card as well as selectively importing from a SIM to the phone and several other improvements.
The Samsung Focus 2 originally launched on AT&T back in late May 2012 as the follow-up to the original Focus, which was one of the first Windows Phone devices that the big blue carrier offered. While I'm sure that the Focus 2 may have taken longer to receive its Tango bump than most of its owners would've liked, it's good to see that the update has finally begun its official push from AT&T and Microsoft. Now the wait for Windows Phone 7.8 can begin.
