The legal war between Apple and Samsung continues! This was a big day for Samsung, as the company not only got approval to check out Apple and HTC's recent settlement, but has also requested that a few more devices be added to a suit against Apple. First up, The Verge notes U.S. Magistrate Judge Paul S. Grewal has approved Samsung's request to view the settlement agreement between Apple and HTC.

In its attempt to view the documents, Samsung argued that it needs to see the financial details of Apple and HTC's agreement because they may play a part in its arguments against the permanent injunctions that Apple is seeking to place on Samsung's products. Samsung also feels that the information will help to indicate the consumer demand for Apple's patented features and will support its arguments that paying a royalty "is a suitable alternative to a permanent injunction."

Samsung has also requested that the iPad mini, fourth generation iPad and fifth generation iPod touch all be added to its legal battle against Apple, The Verge reports. This is the same case in which Samsung recently gained approval to target the iPhone 5. As with Samsung's attempt to get the iPhone 5 added to its lawsuit against Apple, Judge Paul S. Grewal must greenlight the inclusion of the new Apple products before they'll actually be added to the case. It's not clear exactly when we'll hear more on that matter, but Apple and Samsung are scheduled to meet for a hearing early next month, so it won't be long before we hear more about the battle between these two companies.
