AT&T has kept its 4G LTE ball rolling across the U.S. today, announcing that its service is now live in a handful of new areas. The big blue carrier this morning revealed that its LTE coverage doubled in 2012, adding that the network is present in 103 markets and covers 150 million people as of today, November 16. AT&T expects that number to grow to 250 million people by the end of 2013 and 300 million by year-end 2014. The list of cities joining the AT&T LTE club today are available at the bottom of this post.
This latest 4G LTE expansion is the third we've seen from AT&T this week, showing that the carrier is putting in work to quickly expand its LTE coverage. The good news for customers still without AT&T LTE service is that the big blue operator says that it plans to roll out more new service before this year is done. No specific cities were named, but that tidbit does give hope to customers that were hoping to spend the holiday season riding on AT&T's LTE coverage. Are any of you AT&T folk located in one of the new or expanded LTE coverage areas?
