Sprint today introduced its new Android-powered Flash smartphone, which is now available online and from telesales for $129.99 with a two-year contract ($449.99 full retail). The Flash, which is manufactured by ZTE, features a 4.5-inch 1280x720 display and rear camera that's of the 12.6-megapixel variety. There's also a 1-megapixel camera around front. Other specs of the Flash include a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, 8GB storage, 1GB RAM, microSD slot, NFC, 1,780mAh and Sprint 4G LTE support. The Flash comes preloaded with what looks to be a fairly vanilla version of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Overall the Sprint Flash appears to have a pretty nice spec sheet. We'll have to put the the screen and camera to the test before making any final judgments, but when those features are paired with the Flash's dual-core processor and 4G LTE connectivity, the Flash has the makings of an Android smartphone that could be worth checking out for folks that want a higher-end device that'll be easy on their wallet.
