Not long after Samsung revealed that the Galaxy Note II has reached sales of 3 million units in a little over a month, the company has decided to update us on the sales of another of its flagship products. Samsung's Polish arm recently announced on both Twitter and Facebook that the Galaxy S III has reached the 30 million sold mark. However, both of the company's social media updates have since disappeared, suggesting that the posts may have gone up a bit before they were actually supposed to.
The Samsung Galaxy S III was introduced to the world at a London event in early May, following months of leaks and rumors that tried to pin down the phone's feature set and launch date. It hit sales of 10 million units in July and 20 million in early September. Exactly how much higher the Galaxy S III's sales numbers can go remains to be seen, but with widespread availability (including 6 U.S. carriers) and the holidays coming up, the S III will likely do alright for itself in the coming months. How many of you have picked up a Galaxy S III or are thinking about snagging one soon?
