It's been a little over a month since Apple officially released iOS 6 to the public, but according to a new report, iOS users yearning for some new software may not have long to wait before their wish is fulfilled. A source speaking to BGR has claimed that Apple and its carrier partners have begun testing iOS 6.0.1, which is said to include a number of tweaks and bug fixes, with a release happening in the coming weeks. The update will reportedly take care of the horizontal lines that some users are seeing on-screen when using the keyboard or an app folder and a bug that causes the camera flash to not go off, as well as improved Wi-Fi support and a fix for an issue that causes cellular data to stop working in some instances.
That's not the only iOS update that's reportedly in testing, as BGR also claims that iOS 6.1 has entered testing. However, Apple is said to have only recently started testing the update, and the site suggests that we may not see a release until sometime after the holidays. The good news is that with iOS 6.0.1 in testing with Apple and the carriers, iOS users won't have to wait that long to get some of the bugs that they've encountered since the release of iOS 6 ironed out by Apple.
