Did you Verizon folk like what you saw in the HTC J Butterfly that was recently introduced for Japan? If so, you'll be glad to see some new images that have been leaked to Android Central, as they show a handset that looks just a tad bit like the J Butterfly. This device is the HTC DLX, a device that's got Verizon branding on its face as well as the carrier's 4G LTE logo on its backside. As far as specs go, we're told to expect a 5-inch 1080p display, quad-core processor (rumored to be of the 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 Pro variety), 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and a non-removable 2,500mAh battery. Also said to be included is an 8-megapixel rear camera (which differs from a previous report that claimed that it'd be a 12-megapixel shooter) and a 2-megapixel camera around front.
The source of these images says that the DLX is running Android 4.1.1 beneath HTC Sense 4+. When it comes to the actual look and feel of the phone, we can see some red accents and HTC's usual capacitive Back, Home and Recent Apps keys on the DLX's face. The power button is said to be centered on the top of the phone.
For you Verizon customers that may be reaching for your credit card, you can leave your wallet alone for a little bit. The HTC DLX is reportedly due to launch around Thanksgiving, meaning that we may still be around a month out from seeing it hit Verizon's shelves. So long as these leaks prove accurate, though, the DLX may be worth saving up for if you're an Android fan that loves high-end specs. And with both the DLX and Samsung Galaxy Note II in the pipeline, it looks like anyone on Verizon that falls into that category will soon have a tough choice to make.
