It looks like owners of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S are getting a nice surprise from Google to help make their Monday better. Some Galaxy Nexus owners have begun reporting that the Android 4.1.2 update that began hitting the Nexus 7 last week is now making its way to their handset, The Verge says. We've been told that the update has also starting hitting the Nexus S. Google has yet to officially announce the rollout.
Just like when it hit the Nexus 7, this Android 4.1.2 update appears to mostly be a small bug-fixer. That may not sound super exciting, but I'm sure that Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S owners are still pleased to be getting bumped up to the latest version of Android. As usual, owners of the CDMA-flavored Nexus devices (Verizon/Sprint Galaxy Nexus, Sprint Nexus S 4G) will likely have to wait a bit for their own helping of Android 4.1.2. You GSM Nexus owners can go ahead and start checking for the update now. Be sure to give us a shout in the comments below once you get it installed!
Thanks, Lyndon!
