AT&T confirmed yesterday that it plans to offer the Nokia Lumia 920 in November, but unfortunately for Windows Phone fans jonesing for their chance to try Microsoft's newest mobile OS, the big blue carrier didn't share the Lumia 920's exact release date. That's where the rumor mill steps in. According to "a well-placed source in AT&T" speaking to WPCentral, the Lumia 920 is scheduled to officially go on sale on Sunday, November 4. There's no word yet on how much the device might cost, but the site suggests that AT&T will announce official launch and pricing details on October 21.
While this November 4 launch is obviously still a rumor at this point, AT&T is known for releasing new hardware on Sundays, like it did with the Nokia Lumia 900. A November 4 launch would also put the Lumia 920 in stores on the Sunday following Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 launch event, and I'm sure that Microsoft would like to have some Windows Phone 8 hardware on shelves as soon after its shindig as possible. For now maybe just use a pencil to circle November 4 on your calendar. We'll let you know when AT&T does decide to announce the Lumia 920's availability information so that you can get out a pen.
