Bad news today for anyone that got excited at the prospect of an early 2013 debut for Samsung's Galaxy S IV, as the company has denied the rumors that were floating around yesterday morning. In a tweet sent by its official @SamsungTomorrow Twitter account, the company said that the speculation surrounding the follow-up to the Galaxy S III isn't true. And for those of you that are hungry for Galaxy S IV details, Samsung didn't offer up any information about the device, even avoiding referring to it by that name.
While Samsung has yet to officially make mention of a Galaxy S IV or Galaxy S III successor, it'd be pretty surprising if the company wasn't cooking up just such a device considering the success of the previous models in the lineup. Exactly when that handset may launch remains a mystery for now, but it's certainly possible that Samsung could repeat what it did for the Galaxy S III and hold its own event in May or a date around there. For now the Galaxy S III remains the flagship phone in Samsung's lineup, so we can go back to focusing on that device and its (hopefully impending) Jelly Bean update.
