The distance between first place and second place votes has gotten larger, but the one constant has been the devices and the HTC One X continues to hold down the number two spot. Today we feature a HTC One X user review from PhoneDog fan Andrew Roach.
"The best phone on the market." By Andrew Roach on August 26, 2012
The best display that the mobile world has to offer; hands down. The curved screen makes the images seemingly pop off the screen. There is no contest from any other phone on the market; including the SGS3's HD Pentile display.
Never had any issues picking up network, calls and the battery life since the upgrade to 4.0.4 has been fantastic. The One X takes practically no power when on standby mode. Sense 4.0 has been smooth since the last update and all benchmark scores have increased substantially. Best quadrant score on the One X AT&T all stock since the update was 5290.
Build quality/design is excellent apart from the fact that the phone is simply to big for most hands. Luckily I have big hands. The unibody assembly is sleek and the polycarbonate body is sturdy and premium feeling; which is a big plus.
Fans of the SGS3 argue that the 2 gigs of ram and the removable battery, and additional memory take it over the top. For the 10% of the market that are hardcore users; they are correct. But for everyone else; the build quality and unbelievable screen of the One X/Evo 4g LTE take it over the top.
