Did you like what you saw in that video of a Samsung Galaxy S III running a leaked version of Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean? If you're rocking an international Galaxy S III, it may not be much much longer before you can officially give it a go yourself. A new report from Android Central claims that the Jelly Bean update is currently undergoing its final testing and is slated to begin rolling out "shortly after" Samsung's August 29 Unpacked event. After the event wraps up, the international Galaxy S III's bump up to Android 4.1 will reportedly start pushing out in several countries, the U.K. included. The update is said to feature the usual Jelly Bean goodies, like Google Now and a new notifications shade, as well as a "dormant mode" for improved notification management as well as an "easy mode" to make using the home screen simpler.

I'm sure that the question on the minds of many folks reading this news is "When will [insert U.S. carrier]'s Galaxy S III get updated to Jelly Bean?". Unfortunately, that much is still up in the air. Considering both that the S III is Samsung's flagship handset and that the company is apparently wasting little time updating the international model, though, I'm sure that Samsung will want to get its U.S. variants updated in a timely manner as well. As usual, you can bet that we'll pass along more information on the updates for both the international and carrier-branded Galaxy S IIIs just as soon as we get 'em.
