Earlier this month, Ting began accepting pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy S III, and now the Sprint MVNO as provided an update on when those devices will begin shipping. Ting has revealed on its official blog that it expects to start mailing out Galaxy S III pre-orders by early September, though it adds that it's trying to push that window up. The carrier also said that pre-orders for the Galaxy S III "have been rolling in fast and furious."

Along with an update on the Galaxy S III, Ting shared details on other handsets that it plans to offer. The HTC EVO 4G LTE is expected to feature a price tag of $520, and pre-orders for the handset could begin in mid-September, with orders going out in mid-October. Motorola's Photon Q is also Ting-bound, with pre-orders slated to start on August 20 at a price around $500 and shipments going out three weeks later. Finally, the LG Viper should be coming in October for around $400 and the Kyocera Rise is expected in early September for about $200. One device that won't be hitting Ting is the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, which the company explained by saying that "Google needs to make its pure Google phones MVNO friendly."

Ting also shared a couple of other random tidbits of news in its post. We've known for a while now that Ting plans to offer LTE service, which will be provided by Sprint's LTE (currently live in 15 cities). Today Ting said that it's working with Sprint on getting the service live for its users, and it's expected that LTE will go live in early September. Overall it sounds like Ting is making progress on building out its product portfolio, and I'm sure that there are customers that appreciate having the option to buy high-end handsets like the Galaxy S III and EVO 4G LTE sans contract and use them with the service.
