Last month Samsung let everyone know that it's planning a "major announcement and unveiling of the newest Galaxy device" for August 15, but the company didn't offer much more insight into what it's got up its sleeve. Now a full-blown invitation for that event has begun going out, and while it still doesn't reveal precisely what Samsung's planning, it does shed a bit of light on the situation. As you can see above, the invitation shows a rectangular device with what is made to look like hand-drawn lines, suggesting that a stylus-packing Galaxy Note product is in the cards.
So what might Samsung be showing on August 15? Considering the "Meet the new way" tagline and the fact that a Samsung spokesperson revealed earlier today that the new Galaxy Note is due at the end of this month, the Galaxy Note 10.1 seems a likely candidate. Additionally, the small square in the left corner of the invitation image above looks fairly similar to the S Pen slot that's located in the lower-left corner of the Note 10.1's backside, shown below. The good news is that we're less than two weeks away from this event, so it won't be long before Samsung finally comes clean. Of course, there's also the option of just ordering the Note 10.1 now if you're don't feel like waiting. Your call.
