SGH-i547. That's a new model number for you AT&T customers to keep in mind, as it belongs to a Samsung-made device that's cruised through the FCC, Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Alliance. The SGH-i547's FCC filing shows that it's got the usual 850/1900MHz GSM and HSPA connectivity that we'd expect from an AT&T-bound handset, and interestingly enough, it's also got support for four LTE bands. Included are LTE bands 4 and 17, which are the usual AT&T LTE bands, as well as LTE bands 2 and 5.
Other spec details for the i547 are still light, but the various filings and a user agent profile on Samsung's site show that the device is Android-powered and features both a 480x800 display and NFC. So far it doesn't sound like this thing will be competing with the Galaxy S III for the high-end Samsung crown on AT&T, but it is good to see the big blue carrier continue to build out its LTE-capable product lineup. Now we just have to wait for AT&T and Samsung to make the i547 official so that we can find out when it'll be launching and what kind of a price tag it'll carry when it does. Stay tuned.
